Shkodra is the main city of northern Albania, set between Lake Shkodra and the Drin and Buna rivers below Rozafa Castle. It is a university city with a strong cycling culture and a historic centre around the pedestrian Kolë Idromeno street, where restored old houses stand next to apartment buildings.
