Saranda: the city and its property market
Saranda is the main town of Albania's southern Ionian coast, built like an amphitheatre around a bay facing the island of Corfu, with ferry connections to it. Tourism supports much of the local economy, and the ancient city of Butrint, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, lies a short way to the south beyond Ksamil.
Most apartments are in the centre and along the seafront promenade, while Kodër rises on the slopes behind the town, where many buildings look out over the bay.
